...so here's my chance to post some art on Mom's digital fridge. I never went to kindergarten and my school didn't have art class,
so I never got to experience the classic childhood "Art Gallery Refrigerator". My mom's my best friend but I don't get to see her
as much as I want to these days, so this blog is my way of getting to share with her my love for card crafting.
Thanks for visiting and happy crafting!

Walkin' down Memory Lane to Christmas 1993

Today I pulled out the Christmas decorations and found a couple of extra-dusty, cobwebby boxes in the back corner of the basement that I haven't opened in 10 years.  Inside I found some Christmas magic... a trip down Memory Lane to circa 1993. I had an interest in craftiness in my teens, but it wasn't until my 20s that I started actually doing much of any crafting on a regular basis. I first got into needlepoint and embroidery but soon after I branched out into acrylic paints. I painted anything that didn't move, and maybe some things that did. LOL

My first adventure into painting was during the Christmas season, 1993. It's not much to look at, but it certainly brings back memories for me...

I even remember the purple kitchen sponge I cut to make the square I needed. It's amazing what weird details your brain will hold onto... and yet not be able to remember what you just walked in the room to get. =\

Ah, well..... so, tomorrow it's back to the crafty table, with Copics and stamps and paper instead of acrylic paint and paper mache boxes. =)

Til then, happy crafting!
Christy
